1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClearBox, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
ClearBox is an academic productivity tool that connects to your Google account to extract and organize event information from your institutional emails. The service is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Google Account Access & Compliance
ClearBox requires access to your Google account to function. Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere toGoogle API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By granting access, you authorize ClearBox to:
- Read your Gmail messages (read-only, limited to subject lines and snippets) for event extraction.
- Create events on your Google Calendar only when you explicitly request it.
You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account permissions.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must not use ClearBox to process emails you do not have the right to access.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or misuse the service.
5. Accuracy of Extraction
ClearBox uses heuristic-based extraction to identify events from emails. While we strive for accuracy, the extraction is not guaranteed to be complete or error-free. You should always verify important event details against the original email.
6. Limitation of Liability
ClearBox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any missed events, incorrect extractions, or any damages arising from the use of this service.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ClearBox at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. You may stop using the service at any time by revoking Google account access and requesting data deletion.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ClearBox after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
